Dr. Aaron was born in Seattle and raised in Auburn, graduating from Auburn Senior
High School. While completing his undergraduate degree in Zoology at BYU
Dr. Aaron met and married his sweetheart, Melody. After graduation they moved
to California where he received his Doctorate of Dental
Surgery degree from Loma Linda University. While in
Dental School Dr. Aaron was elected by his peers to
serve as the national Speaker of the House for the
American Student Dental Association. After completing
his initial eight years of undergraduate and dental education he completed a rigorous three year
orthodontic
residency at his father's alma mater, UCLA, where he
served as chief resident of the program.
While completing his hospital residency Dr. Aaron concurrently
earned a Masters Degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. His Masters research
focused on using 3-D x-rays to improve the treatment of patients with
cleft palates. To this day Dr. Aaron still enjoys working with cleft palate and craniofacial
patients.
Dr. Aaron is an internationally recognized expert on the subject of 3-D x-rays and
technology integration. He's given over two dozen lectures on the subjects to fellow
orthodontists around the world and maintains a website on the topic,
www.3DOrthodontist.com. Dr. Aaron has also written textbook chapters and
published several peer reviewed articles on the topics. Dr. Aaron serves on the
Technology Editorial Board for the premier journal in orthodontics, the American
Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In addition, he also serves
as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
In addition to his speaking engagements Dr. Aaron lectures to the UCLA orthodontic residents on
the topic of 3-D diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Aaron
is the youngest doctor to be offered a faculty position in the history of the prestigious UCLA
orthodontic department. Dr. Aaron stays involved in the leadership
of orthodontics by serving on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Coast Society
of Orthodontics. He also serves on the American Association of Orthodontists'
Committee on Orthodontic Information Technology where he's the chairman of
the 3-D x-ray subcommittee.
Dr. Aaron currently lives in the Lakeland Hills/Bonney Lake area with his wife,
two daughters, Kaya and Lily, and their cat, Cody. A little known fact about Dr. Aaron
is that he is fluent in Tagalog, a Filipino dialect. In his free time, Dr. Aaron enjoys
snowboarding, backpacking, target shooting, reading, tinkering with computers,
and foremost...spending time with his family.
